1-on-1 Author Coaching

You have something you want to achieve that really matters and you recognize the importance of writing the best book possible. You want a partner and guide to bounce ideas around and refine your thinking. Someone to keep you motivated, accountable, and on track. Someone who doesn't only have good intentions, but also the expertise to help you get this done with less pain, less time, and less wasted effort, so you can have more impact.

Authors who work with me finish their books. And not only that--they finish books that are better than what they would have accomplished on their own.

Is it reasonable to expect that you'll write a great book on your first attempt without any guidance? Probably not. So what do you need to do to make it unreasonable that you will not write a great book?

Do you have a dream of making an impact but don't know where to start? Do you need to write a book for your tenure file? Do you have a big idea that overwhelms you when you attempt to plan a book around it? Or are you somewhere in the middle of a book project that you've given up hope of finishing? I've worked with dozens and dozens (and dozens) of authors in all of these situations and more. Chances are extremely high that I can help you.

I can work with very few authors in this way. Given the high level of attention that goes into the work and lasting relationships that are built along the way, I am always selective to ensure a good fit.

Every author I work with is unique, and so is the work, but here are a few things that you can expect if we work together.

  • You will learn how to do your best work

  • You will build real skills that even transfer to your other written communications

  • You will finish your book or proposal and it will be good

  • You will have the accountability you need to make tangible progress

What people say after working with me

Anna Lembke

NYT Bestselling Author of Drug Dealer, MD and Dopamine Nation

For Robin---

Thanks for everything you've taught me about writing books.

Pierluigi Mancini

Author of And Healthcare for All

Robin was amazing.  His ability to get key information about what I wanted to say and to place it in an orderly fashion for me to follow made me feel confident that I was in the right place.

Troy Tassier

Author of The Rich Flee and the Poor Take the Bus

Your advice was indispensable for my book. Probably no one but me can see it, but there are clear sections/chapters where your specific advice shined through and the book would have been much worse without your guidance.

Sharon Rudy

Author of The Global Health Career: A Practical Guide to Finding and Sustaining a Place in a Changing Field (forthcoming)

You've been life-changing for me...
